While listening to the incredible 3/24/73 show suggested from the "best 5 from 73" thread a few days ago (thanks tigerbolt and Cliff Hucker for the suggestion). It occured to me that I have never really listened to how good Phil is, on this show he is really in the mix and it sounds just awesome. Can someone please suggest some more great shows that have decent level of Phil in the mix, sure would appreciate it. Thanks all.

Phil's bass bounces around up-front the whole way through this outstanding show.

Thanks to infrequent poster turnphilup for bringing it to my attention.

I worked a few kaiser shows like that. I'm surprised that place was even standing after some of the runs. Hope DSO plays there soon.... The next nye run at BGCA was pretty funny since my friends from new york kept offering cash for my blue coat. The at wolfgangs about 2 years ago the dude had bobo's blue coat and his blue vest up for sale, $75.00 for his satin jacket and $45.00 for his vest, but being from chicago the most likely didn't know they had museum pieces.... It's ashame they were just sell in Bill collection that way.

phil's in the mix somewhere in here, but a much later date and I came out of the run with my blue coat, plus a free chinese dinner.

Phil is mixed way too high on this Charlie Miller file of the Vanderbilt show from '72. I find the levels here problematic, however I know Larry Elbow digs this! You might enjoy Phil's leads during The Other One...

That's a wigglin the 'ol eustachian tubes with Phil that far up in the Vanderbilt He's Gone. He's awful fun for the novelty, but I couldn't do that all the time. Make me want to sell a cool 'Turn Phil Up!' T-Shirt though.

1971-11-14. You might as well listen to the next night as well. Fair warning: you may not be able to stop listening to these...ever...

11-14-71 ! Wow, I haven't heard that in long enough to remember how good googly moogly good it is. This definitely brings the goods to the party. Pig is out sick, Keith is still new, and they are making up the difference with energy and a tight show with a remarkable set list. I can even tolerate the Mexicali Blues from this show and I generally skip that as fast as I can.
